The Adaptive Fit.
Private Client 01

The client was experiencing ongoing changes in proportion, leaving an established wardrobe increasingly inconsistent. Some pieces remained wearable, while others no longer fitted or presented as intended.
Constant replacement was neither practical nor desirable. The client wanted to preserve the strongest parts of the existing wardrobe while maintaining a polished and dependable standard of dress throughout the transition.
The physical shift also made conventional shopping and fitting environments feel unnecessarily exposed. Privacy, efficiency and sensitivity were therefore as important as fit itself.
-
We began with a detailed review of the client’s current wardrobe. Each piece was assessed according to present fit, silhouette, comfort, alteration potential and its likely relevance as the body continued to change.
The wardrobe was then divided into clear categories. Pieces that fitted well remained in active rotation. Garments suitable for considered alteration were identified, while temporarily unsuitable pieces were discreetly removed and preserved rather than discarded.
A focused capsule was created around the client’s current proportions. Pieces were selected for their ability to work together, accommodate change and maintain the client’s established level of presentation. This reduced the need for constant purchasing while ensuring that the active wardrobe remained complete and reliable.
Private fittings allowed alterations and adjustments to be handled in a controlled environment. The client could consider fit without the pressure, exposure or fragmented decision-making of conventional retail appointments.
-
The client gained a smaller but significantly more effective active wardrobe. Every visible piece fitted properly, worked with the wider capsule and could be worn with confidence.
Removing temporarily unsuitable garments also made the wardrobe easier to navigate. Dressing no longer began with repeatedly encountering pieces that did not fit, and fewer daily decisions were required.
The approach preserved the value and future potential of the existing collection while introducing only what was genuinely needed. The client remained well presented throughout the transition without feeling compelled to continually replace an entire wardrobe.

“The capsule approach gave me a much more efficient system. Rather than having an enormous number of pieces, I had a carefully selected group that worked together and fitted properly. The privacy was particularly valuable and made the transition considerably easier.”
